CHAIN-OF-CUSTODY
Proteus is committed to providing our customers with products sourced from forests that are managed responsibly. We have developed a system that ensures the flow of all forest-based products through our facility conform to the internationally recognized Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) Chain-of-Custody standards.
These chain-of-custody certifications enable us to offer our customers packaging materials that have been traced to responsibly managed woodlands. In doing so, we help support timber practices such as:
- Responsible harvesting
- Protecting endangered species
- Biodiversity
- Addressing social issues
Both chain-of-custody certifications are two of the leading forest management organizations in North America and rely on third-party audits to ensure continued
compliance with their extensive criteria.
