PACXTRA
PacXtra is Proteus’ comprehensive set of solutions to support the use of inserts/outserts, security tags and adhesive labels. PacXtra includes designing, producing and affixing supplemental materials in addition to sourcing supplemental items as needed.
Although supplemental materials may vary, the most common include:
- Security tags used in conjunction with Sensormatic® or Checkpoint® detection systems for anti-theft and loss prevention
- Inserts/outserts such as instructions-for-use used in pharmaceutical and medical device packaging, which can be multi-lingual and achieve compliance mandates
- Labels, including coupons, discount cards, special offers and other promotional items
Our design team works with customers to create customized solutions to meet the needs of the product. We offer a wide variety of shapes, colors and sizes and the ability to develop packaging with multiple add-on pieces. PacXtra supplemental items can be printed as thick as ¼”.
In addition to the design phase, we produce and affix these materials. This production process minimizes the possibility of human error by leveraging automated equipment to attach the items and an inline barcode scanning procedure to confirm that each product has the correct supplemental piece affixed. This verification helps ensure that no products are missing a supplemental piece or mistakenly get the wrong one.
